Covid 19 Update – Effective from 02/05/2020

Due to the positive results of people overcoming the virus and much less people getting infected, the Spanish government has announced a plan for scaling down the lockdown. It will be spread over eight weeks in total and divided into four phases of two weeks each. This can of course be modified if the results get worse and infections increase again.

The first phase (Phase 0) will mean that people can go out for walks and do exercise. There are strict slots of times that separate people with different ages groups to avoid them coming into contact with each other.

Below are the time slots that come into effect from Saturday the 2nd of May 2020 and everyone must respect social distancing and personal hygiene at all times.

  • If you are doing sport like running, jogging etc. you must go alone.
  • If you are going out for a walk, you can go with one other member of the same household.

In both cases you are allowed to do this once a day and must stay within your own municipality at all times.

Aged under 14 (maximum of 3 and must be with an adult)

From 12’00 to 19’00

Ages between 14+ and 70

From 06’00 to 10’00 and 20’00 to 23’00

Ages 70 and over

From 10’00 to 12’00 and 19’00 to 20’00

These rules apply for all municipalities with a population of 5,000 and over.

If the municipality where you live has a population of less than 5,000. There are no time slots and you can go for walks and do exercise between 06’00 and 23’00.
