Callao Salvaje, in Costa Adeje is a small village in the south of Tenerife and forms part of the municipality of Adeje. It is mostly residential but has a few aparthotels and hotels as well. It is a nice and peaceful place, not as busy as the major tourist towns of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos.
It is in a great location with easy access to the TF-1 motorway, making it very easy to connect with other major towns. There are a wide selection of nice restaurants and bars as well as cafeterias and shops. There are some nice hidden gems in Callao Salvaje that are well worth a visit.
There are many residential villas in the village and maybe you have heard of the very popular Sueño Azul complex that is made up of many individual villas as well as apartments. Sueño Azul was built and promoted by Wimpen back in the 80s and is a very popular place to stay.
The neighbouring town of Playa Paraiso is just a short distance away and is well known, as it is host to the famous Hard Rock Café hotels.
There is a nice, quiet beach in the village and a walkway that takes you along the coastal path t Playa Paraiso.
